What we collect
What we collect (very little).
SAflightdeals has no user accounts, no newsletter forms and no comment sections. We do not ask for, store or process your name, email address, payment details or identity documents. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, pages requested, browser type) for security and performance purposes, as virtually every website does.
We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand which pages are useful — page views, referral sources and approximate (city-level) location. Analytics data is aggregated and is never used to identify individuals.
Third parties
The flight search and affiliate links.
The flight search on this site is an embedded Travelstart service. When you use it, you are interacting with Travelstart's systems and their own privacy policy applies to anything you enter — including passenger details and payment information at booking. SAflightdeals never sees or stores any of it.
Some links on this site are affiliate links routed through Travelstart's affiliate network. Clicking one sets a tracking reference so that a resulting booking can be attributed to this site. This affects nothing about your fare and identifies you to us only as an anonymous booking reference.
Popia
Your rights under POPIA.
South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) gives you rights over personal information held about you. Since SAflightdeals holds essentially none, most requests will be answered in one line — but you are welcome to exercise any POPIA right, including access, correction or deletion requests, by emailing info@saflightdeals.co.za. For information you provided to Travelstart during a booking, direct requests to Travelstart as the responsible party for that data.
